Spacious 2 Bedroom, 2.5 Bathroom Home in the Historical Center of Amsterdam
The Designer Apartment is a luxury 2 bedroom, 2.5 bathroom home located on a car-free street in the gallery district of Amsterdam's historical center. The apartment is situated on the 1st ,2nd, and 3rd floors of a historic building accessible by stairs only. With the Rijksmuseum and Leidseplein only a 5 minute walk away, the Designer Apartment is perfectly located in the center of all of Amsterdam's main attractions.
From the street, there is one set of stairs to reach the living room, kitchen, and dining area on the 1st floor. Please be aware that the historical stairs are very steep and there is no elevator in the building. If you have mobility issues, please consider this before booking. On the first floor, you are greeted with the living room containing a two-person sofa, TV, designer lounge chair, and coffee table. As the apartment is located on a corner apartment, the large windows provide ample light during all hours of the day. Behind the sofa is the modern kitchen equipped with a stove, sink, dish washer, refrigerator, freezer, and oven/microwave combination machine. There is also plenty of cookware, glassware, silverware, a toaster, electric kettle, and Nespresso machine. The dining area contains 4 chairs and a designer table which can be folded out to create more space if needed. There is a small toilet by the stairs on this level.
Up an additional set of stairs to the 2nd floor, there is the first spacious bedroom. The bed is 180X200 cm with two night stands, two bed side lamps, a wardrobe, and full-length mirror. This bedroom has an en-suite bathroom containing a WC, couple's sink, and modern shower. There are large, beautiful windows equipped with black-out curtains. There is also a lock with key to this bedroom for additional privacy.
The last set of stairs up to the 3rd floor presents the 2nd, smaller bedroom equipped with a 160X200 cm bed containing storage drawers underneath, night stand and bed side lamp. In the landing of the stairs, there is a full length mirror. There is also a lock with key on this bedroom for addition privacy.Adjacent to this bedroom is the second, larger bathroom containing a couple's sink, modern shower, bathtub, and washer/dryer combination machine.
All 3 floors have black-out curtains to make each guest's stay more comfortable. Please note that while the street below is car-free, the windows are historical and there is the possibility for street noise. Lastly, please note as with most apartments in Amsterdam, the stairs are very steep and there is no air conditioning in the apartment, so please be mindful of this before booking.
